1996 Model Hino Bus 30 seat Automatic transmission On average clients take 7 to 9 hours of training and assessment. RTA requires a minimum of 5 hours of assessment time to complete this licence.

What licence do you need?

The vehicle I want to drive (Note the number of axles)	Rigid	Number of axles	GVM
		2	GVM of more than 8 tonnes. Any towed trailer must not weigh more than 9 tonnes GVM.

What do you need to get this licence?

• You must have held a class C or LR licence or equivalent for 1 year or more.
• You must pass a knowledge test and an eyesight test.
• You must either pass an RTA driving test or undertake Heavy Vehicle Competency Based Assessment (CBA).

Before you can learn to drive this type of vehicle, you:

• Must hold a current class C or LR licence or equivalent.

NOTE: You are not permitted to upgrade to a MR licence while you hold a P1 car licence.
